Aged Care Physiotherapist - Locum, 2 Days Per Week

About the role

A residential aged care provider in inner north Melbourne is looking for a physiotherapist for a short-term summer contract, 12 November to 17 January. The role is part-time, about 2 days per week (ideally Tuesdays and Thursdays, with some flexibility), and suits early-career or experienced physios who want flexible work with a supportive team.

Key responsibilities

• Complete aged care physiotherapy referrals and reviews
• Conduct mobility and functional assessments
• Develop and deliver falls prevention strategies
• Plan and run group exercise sessions for residents
• Work closely with nursing, care staff and allied health to support resident goals
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation

Required profile

• Qualified physiotherapist with current AHPRA registration
• Preferred around 1 year of aged care experience; new graduates and those moving into aged care are welcome
• Available for 2 days per week during the contract dates

• Confident communication with residents, families and the multidisciplinary team
