Additional Kindergarten Assistant (Multiple Locations)

About the role

Yooralla is seeking enthusiastic Additional Kindergarten Assistants to support inclusive early childhood programs across several Melbourne suburbs. You will work alongside educators to ensure children with disabilities and complex medical needs can fully participate in funded kindergarten activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the educator team in delivering inclusive learning experiences.
• Support children with disabilities or medical needs during daily routines.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming environment that promotes participation for all learners.
• Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary staff to implement individualized plans.
• Adapt activities and resources to meet diverse needs.

Required profile

• Prior experience in kindergarten, early childhood, or disability services.
• Commitment to inclusion, family‑centred and strengths‑based approaches.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptable, proactive work ethic with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to pass mandatory safeguarding checks.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency for email and internet use.
