Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing finance team in Sydney. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager for Australia, you will own the end‑to‑end accounts payable process and help drive efficiency in a dynamic start‑up environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, ensuring timely approvals and accurate posting.
• Allocate costs to the appropriate Strategic Business Units.
• Onboard new vendors, conducting compliance checks and maintaining reliable records.
• Manage vendor staff expense payments and intercompany transfers, using the correct bank accounts.
• Perform regular reconciliations of vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Communicate payment details to project teams, Executive Assistants and Office Managers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a finance team, preferably in accounts payable.
• Ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments with a hands‑on approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with senior stakeholders.
