Accounts Payable Officer – Part‑time

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented, organised Accounts Payable Officer to work 24‑32 hours per week. You will manage supplier invoices, credit‑card reconciliations and the overall accounts payable process while supporting the smooth daily operation of our business.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices in MYOB, obtaining approvals and verifying project, client and job‑cost information.
• Maintain supplier records and electronic filing systems.
• Reconcile supplier statements, investigate discrepancies and follow up outstanding invoices.
• Reconcile company credit‑card statements and maintain accounts payable registers.
• Monitor the accounts email inbox and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Redirect purchase orders and supplier enquiries to the appropriate business units.
• Assist with weekly transaction reviews to support month‑end processing.
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of accounts payable transactions for month‑end reconciliation.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in accounts payable or similar finance administration.
• Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or equivalent experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Effective communication skills and confidence liaising with stakeholders and suppliers.
• Ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Extensive experience using MYOB.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
