Accounts Payable Officer

About the role

The finance team of a well‑established consumer electronics and technology business is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer. This hands‑on position owns the end‑to‑end AP function, handling both local and overseas invoices in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle for local and overseas invoices after initial entry.
• Reconcile purchase orders against supplier invoices and resolve any discrepancies.
• Handle trade finance, foreign exchange and landed‑cost considerations.
• Reconcile bank and credit‑card statements across multiple entities.
• Ensure accurate and timely supplier payments, including urgent international transactions.
• Collaborate with an offshore team that performs initial invoice entry, taking ownership of complex processing locally.
• Use SAP and ProSpend for invoice entry, approval and reconciliation.
• Support month‑end close and ad‑hoc requests from the CFO and AP Manager.

Required profile

• Experience in accounts payable, preferably within a product‑based, wholesale or import‑driven business.
• Comfort managing high‑volume, high‑value transactions.
• Exposure to overseas suppliers, trade finance or foreign exchange is highly regarded.
• Proactive attitude, strong ownership and the ability to ask the right questions.
• Self‑starter who can work independently without being overwhelmed by complexity.
