Accounts Payable Officer

About the role

The Accounts Payable Officer will join a Finance Transformation team that is driving automation and process improvement across a high‑volume AP function for an ASX‑100 business. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end AP processing, vendor onboarding and supporting automation initiatives in a modern corporate environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process capital works invoices and high‑volume AP across the corporate environment.
• Manage IT bills, payroll, subscriptions and charitable payments during peak periods.
• Support automation initiatives, route invoices to the appropriate owners and contribute to the evolution of the automated AP system.
• Monitor and triage the AP inbox, handling incoming requests efficiently.
• Onboard and verify new vendors, gathering and checking required information.
• Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders by phone and email to resolve queries.
• Provide occasional accounts receivable support, including joint‑venture charge processing.
• Complete routine administrative tasks alongside core AP duties.

Required profile

• Experience in accounts payable within a high‑volume corporate setting.
• Ability to take ownership of both transactional and automation‑related tasks.
• Familiarity with vendor onboarding and verification processes.
• Comfort managing an AP inbox and communicating with internal and external contacts.
• Willingness to support occasional accounts receivable activities.
