Accounts Payable Officer

About the role

VetPartners is seeking a motivated Accounts Payable Officer to join its Finance team. The role supports a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment across multiple veterinary clinics in Australia and New Zealand, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments and reconciliations.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain vendor master data.
• Review invoices and credit‑card reconciliations using SAP Concur.
• Process employee expense claims.
• Run weekly payment cycles with self‑review and quality checks.
• Manage AP queries via the internal ticketing system within SLA.
• Resolve mapping exceptions in SAP Concur.
• Perform monthly supplier reconciliations for key vendors.
• Assist the Financial Control team during month‑end close.
• Process GST, dividends and ad‑hoc payments.
• Review aged AP items and prepare related journal entries.
• Support rotating AP tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Previous AP experience in a large or multi‑entity organisation.
• Comfortable working in a high‑volume, fast‑paced setting.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Proactive problem‑solver who can manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Pronto or Navision (desirable)
