Accounting & Office Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Accounting & Office Manager to oversee all financial transactions and keep the office running smoothly for a growing Australian medical equipment company. This full‑time position offers flexible hours and the chance to expand your responsibilities as the business evolves.

Key responsibilities

• Perform weekly bank reconciliations and manage full‑cycle accounts payable, including two weekly payment runs.
• Handle full‑cycle accounts receivable, collections, and generate ad‑hoc invoices.
• Process monthly employee expenses, coordinate outsourced payroll, and prepare the monthly BAS return.
• Collaborate with an external accountant to produce monthly reports, budgets, forecasts, and profitability analyses.
• Answer phone calls, manage customer enquiries, distribute sales inbox items, and support sales order entry and the warehouse team.
• Oversee office facilities, equipment, and supplies to ensure a well‑maintained work environment.

Required profile

• Ideally holds a certificate, diploma or degree in a related field (not mandatory).
• Recent experience in a similar accounting and administration role within a small business.
• Motivated to broaden responsibilities and support business growth.
• Excellent phone manner, proactive problem‑solving attitude, and enthusiasm for new challenges.
