Accounting Manager

About the role

As the Accounting Manager for Australia and New Zealand, you will lead accurate financial reporting, governance and accounting operations across the region while partnering with regional and global stakeholders to support business performance and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preparation and delivery of month‑end, quarterly, year‑end and statutory financial reports.
• Oversee tax reporting including income tax, transfer pricing, GST and withholding tax.
• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, journal reviews and financial controls.
• Handle cash‑flow forecasting, liquidity management and budgeting.
• Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and leasing routines.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements and internal policies, working with auditors and external tax advisers.
• Drive continuous improvement, audit activities, process enhancements and business continuity planning.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in Finance or Accounting management within a large, high‑volume retail or FMCG business.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA or CA qualification.
• Proven people‑leadership skills and ability to partner across multiple functions.
• Strong communication, organisational and time‑management abilities.
