Accounting Manager – Capital

About the role

Endeavour Group Business Services is looking for a highly commercial finance professional to lead its Capital Accounting team. The role oversees a $500m annual capital investment portfolio across hotels, retail, corporate offices and Pinnacle, acting as the bridge between on‑shore stakeholders and an offshore execution team.

Key responsibilities

• Apply IAS 16 and related accounting standards to ensure correct classification, recognition and measurement of property, plant and equipment.
• Provide guidance on the Group Capitalisation Policy, distinguishing CapEx from OpEx.
• Manage depreciation, amortisation, tax schedules, asset disposals, write‑offs and impairment testing, keeping the Fixed Asset Register accurate.
• Own the month‑end close for capital accounting, including journals, reconciliations and reporting packages.
• Perform complex reconciliations between General Ledger, Tax Ledger and the Fixed Asset Register, resolving variances.
• Lead internal and external audit coordination for fixed assets, maintaining SOX‑equivalent controls.
• Partner with Capital, Property and Formats teams to provide financial clarity on project spend and work‑in‑progress.

Required profile

• Strong commercial finance background with experience in asset lifecycle management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop offshore accounting teams.
• Proven track record of driving process improvement and transformation initiatives.
