Accountant / Senior Accountant

About the role

DFK Gray Perry, a provider of business services and corporate advisory solutions, is seeking an experienced Accountant or Senior Accountant for its Adelaide CBD office. This is a full-time position central to the firm's growth strategy, offering the chance to deliver accounting and advisory services to clients while developing your career.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns and accounting records for clients
• Carry out financial analysis and produce reports for clients
• Assist with taxation compliance and planning strategies
• Support clients with business advisory matters and financial guidance
• Liaise with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions
• Manage multiple client engagements and ensure timely delivery
• Contribute to improving internal processes and maintain professional accounting standards
• Senior Accountant: mentor and supervise junior staff as required

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in accounting or finance (or equivalent professional experience)
• Progress towards membership of a professional accounting body (CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand or similar)
• 2-3 years' experience for Accountant level; 5+ years for Senior Accountant level
• Solid understanding of Australian taxation and financial reporting requirements
• For Senior Accountant: leadership capability and experience managing staff or complex client engagements

Required skills

• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office
• Attention to detail, analytical skills and professional communication
• Time management and ability to prioritise multiple tasks
