Accountant – Public Practice

About the role

Boa & Co. Chartered Accountants is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Accountant to join its growing team. You will work closely with clients and senior staff on a variety of accounting, taxation and compliance matters, gaining exposure across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships.
• Assist with BAS, IAS and GST compliance.
• Handle bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
• Support payroll and superannuation processing.
• Liaise with clients to provide ongoing accounting advice and support.
• Contribute to tax planning and business advisory projects.
• Ensure all work meets ATO requirements and deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA/CA qualification or currently studying (preferred).
• Experience in public‑practice accounting is highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
