Accountant – Public Practice (2-3 yrs experience)

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant to join a well‑established Chartered Accounting firm with a strong presence in Newcastle, Brisbane and Melbourne. This role is ideal for a professional with 2‑3 years of public practice experience who wants to deepen technical expertise while working with a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for a variety of entities.
• Compile and lodge tax returns and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide client advisory support on accounting and tax matters.
• Collaborate with senior managers on complex engagements.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Accounting or a related discipline.
• 2‑3 years experience in a public practice environment.
• CA/CPA qualified or currently undertaking the qualification.
• Strong technical knowledge and effective communication skills.
• Motivated to learn, develop and build long‑term client relationships.
