Accountant

About the role

This full‑time Accountant position is responsible for month‑end finalisation, preparing financial accounts and reporting packs for the leadership team. The role supports senior finance staff with ad‑hoc analysis, system migrations and process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Finalise month‑end accounts and ensure KPI targets are met.
• Reconcile general ledger, debtor and creditor accounts.
• Prepare internal and external financial returns and monthly reporting packs.
• Assist senior accountants and the financial controller with ad‑hoc reports and data extraction for management decisions.
• Document finance processes, train team members and contribute to continuous‑improvement projects.
• Support system migrations, enhancements and other miscellaneous financial projects.

Required profile

• CPA/CA qualified or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience in a Big‑4 environment is highly regarded.
• Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail and customer‑service orientation.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High integrity, proactive attitude and ability to work collaboratively.

Required skills

• Advanced spreadsheet (Excel) skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft AX or equivalent ERP system.
• Familiarity with the Miles application.
• Experience preparing financial accounts and reconciliations.
