Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Accountant to manage a portfolio of clients, meet tight deadlines and ensure a high level of client satisfaction. This role is ideal for someone who is not yet a graduate or senior accountant but aspires to grow into those positions.

Key responsibilities

• Run individual work reports and track weekly utilisation.
• Prepare BAS, ITRs and financial statements for assigned clients.
• Review BAS and ITR submissions before sending to clients.
• Assist in tax‑planning meetings and support VCFO or management reporting sessions as required.
• Draft responses to client queries for senior accountant approval.
• Proactively suggest improvements to client systems and internal processes.
• Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and operational strategies.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with senior accountants, managers and clients.
• Self‑starter attitude with the ability to manage workload independently.
