Accountant - Finance Team

About the role

Wesley College Melbourne, an independent school educating more than 3,400 students from Early Childhood to Year 12 across three metropolitan campuses, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant for its Finance team. This is a permanent, full-time position based at the St Kilda Road office, reporting to the Senior Accountant and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the College and its associated entities.

Key responsibilities

• Support day-to-day financial operations, including reconciliations, month-end processes, financial reporting and maintenance of accurate financial records.
• Work closely with Finance team members and stakeholders across the College to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Support compliance and governance requirements.
• Assist in improving financial systems, controls and processes.

• Excellent organisational abilities.
• Capacity to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Ability to develop technical accounting skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.
