Accountant – Finance Team (Hybrid, Sydney)

About the role

Transoft Solutions is seeking an Accountant to join its Finance team in Sydney. The role supports the company’s Australian subsidiaries and provides administrative finance support across the APAC region. You will work in a hybrid model, spending at least two days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge regulatory filings such as Business Activity Statements (BAS).
• Reconcile monthly general ledger accounts and bank statements.
• Process inter‑company transactions and ensure accurate foreign‑currency accounting.
• Maintain organized accounting files and support external advisors with corporate tax returns.
• Assist auditors and prepare annual audit documentation.
• Manage accounts payable in Business Central, including bill posting, payment scheduling, and credit‑card expense verification.
• Handle accounts receivable tasks: invoice review, payment application, collections, and monthly AR reporting.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Familiarity with GAAP and multinational accounting processes, including inter‑company reconciliations.
• Self‑starter with strong problem‑solving and prioritisation skills.
• Quick learner with an affinity for new software applications.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (or similar advanced accounting software).
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
