Accountant – Client Management & Reporting

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Accountant to manage a portfolio of clients, meet tight deadlines and ensure a high level of client satisfaction. You will work under the guidance of a Senior Accountant and a Manager, gaining experience that will prepare you for a senior position in the future.

Key responsibilities

• Run your own individual work/job report and track weekly utilisation.
• Prepare BAS, Income Tax Returns (ITRs) and financial statements for assigned clients.
• Review BAS and ITR submissions before sending them to clients.
• Assist in the preparation of tax‑planning meetings and support VCFO and management reporting sessions as needed.
• Draft responses to client queries for Senior Accountant approval.
• Proactively suggest improvements to client systems, processes and accounting policies.
• Manage mail folders, allocate tasks and communicate workload status to senior staff.
• Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures and system enhancements.

Required profile

• Not a graduate yet, but eager to develop accounting expertise and progress to a senior role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
• Proactive attitude in managing workload and seeking additional responsibilities.
