Accountant – Business Services

About the role

Perks is seeking an Accountant with 2‑5 years of public practice experience to join its Business Services team. You will work with a diverse client base, develop technical and advisory expertise, and receive mentorship from senior leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and SMSFs.
• Prepare BAS, IAS and PAYG instalments and support tax planning and interim accounts.
• Assist clients with management reporting, budgeting and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Liaise directly with clients on a broad range of tax and business matters.
• Collaborate with Directors and Managers on advisory projects and client engagements.
• Mentor junior team members and support their development.
• Handle client onboarding, ATO and ASIC matters, and maintain client records.
• Attend client meetings and follow up on actions and correspondence.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years’ experience in a public practice accounting environment.
• Business/Commerce/Accounting degree.
• CA or CPA qualification, or currently studying.
• Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Proactive, organised and client‑focused approach.
