Accountant – Brisbane

About the role

The OrganisationA finance team in Brisbane is looking for an Accountant to support financial reporting, compliance and business performance. You will work in a collaborative environment, partnering with stakeholders to deliver accurate information and commercial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly reporting packs and conduct financial analysis.
• Maintain general ledger integrity through reconciliations and journal entries.
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Support compliance activities, including indirect tax obligations.
• Assist with audit requirements and year‑end processes.
• Provide financial support to operational stakeholders.
• Support finance systems, reporting enhancements and process improvements.
• Perform ad‑hoc analysis and business reporting as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• CA or CPA qualification (or progressing towards it).
• Experience in a commercial accounting environment.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to contribute beyond core duties.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Confidence using financial systems.
