12-Month Rotating Veterinary Internship

About the role

Scone Equine Hospital, part of Scone Equine Group, offers a 12-month rotating internship for veterinary graduates. Successful applicants start in February or August of each year. The program rotates across the group's practices, giving broad exposure to equine practice so interns are well prepared for a career in equine veterinary medicine.

Key responsibilities

• Work with a large and diverse caseload across all areas of equine general practice
• Gain experience in foal and adult medicine, assisted reproduction, surgery, anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging, performance horse lameness and podiatry, stud medicine, racetrack practice and general equine practice
• Be supervised and supported by a senior veterinarian for on-call duties

Required profile

• Veterinary graduate with a degree registrable in NSW, Australia
• Applications for the August 2027 intake open in January 2027
