Youth Worker Case Management (YSHAC)

About the role

Y-Shac provides supported housing for young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, offering short-term crisis accommodation and long-term transitional housing. As Youth Worker Case Management, you will provide comprehensive case management to young people in the Y-SHAC program across both transitional and 24/7 crisis accommodation. This is a part-time (0.8 FTE, 30 hours per week) maximum-term position based across the Spearwood and Rockingham sites until December 2027.

Required profile

• Tertiary degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, Counselling or another related discipline
• Experience in human services or youth work
• Current National Police Clearance, a current WA Working with Children Check and a current WA driver's licence

Required skills

• Case management and assessment skills
• Harm minimisation and brief intervention techniques for young people using alcohol and other drugs, and/or with complex mental health issues
• De-escalation, conflict resolution, advocacy and negotiation
• Strong written and verbal communication and organisational and time management skills

What we offer

• Salary from $91,084.50 plus 12% superannuation
• Salary packaging of up to $15,900 (about $4,000 after tax) plus up to $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses
