Workshop Technician

About the role

Join the Customer Experience team in Brisbane as a Workshop Technician, diagnosing, repairing and testing premium Fisher & Paykel appliances to ensure they return to customers in optimal condition.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, evaluate, repair and test domestic appliances, delivering high‑quality repairs and reliable performance.
• Prepare accurate repair assessments and quotations for customers.
• Complete service documentation, customer records and repair reports efficiently.
• Maintain inventory, spare parts and workshop resources to support timely turnaround.
• Provide technical expertise to customers and internal teams, ensuring exceptional service outcomes.
• Follow Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements and company policies.

Required profile

• Possess a Queensland Restricted electrical licence.
• Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing appliances or related electronics.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams and service documentation.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Effective communication skills and confidence working with customers and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and collaborate with the team.

Required skills

• Interpretation of technical manuals and wiring diagrams
• Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office, digital service systems)
