Workshop Coordinator

About the role

Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) is looking for a highly organised and proactive Workshop Coordinator for its Cavan branch in Adelaide. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will coordinate workshop repairs, machine builds and refurbishment so that jobs are planned, resourced and completed efficiently. You will act as the central point of coordination, working closely with technicians, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate workshop schedules, machine builds and refurbishment projects
• Manage job progress, WIP, work orders and invoicing activities
• Coordinate parts procurement so materials are available before work starts
• Liaise with technicians, suppliers, subcontractors and customers for smooth project delivery
• Monitor timelines, spot potential delays and resolve scheduling issues proactively
• Maintain accurate documentation, reporting and compliance records
• Support quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives in the workshop

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Workshop Coordinator, Service Coordinator, Planner, Scheduler, Service Advisor or similar
• Experience in construction, heavy equipment, automotive, manufacturing, mining or a related industry is highly regarded
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach with a strong customer focus
