Workplace Relations Officer – Compliance (Sydney)

About the role

This permanent position is based in inner Sydney and sits within a leading, complex organisation’s Workplace Relations/Compliance team. Reporting to a Senior Manager, you will provide timely, consistent advice on workplace compliance, employee pay entitlements and industrial agreement interpretation while supporting risk‑management initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on workplace compliance and pay‑related matters.
• Conduct preliminary assessments and investigations into potential non‑compliance.
• Support monitoring, tracking and reporting of compliance activities.
• Engage with internal stakeholders to respond to queries and raise compliance awareness.
• Assist in reviewing and implementing policies and procedures.
• Contribute to data analysis, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience supporting workplace compliance or industrial relations matters.
• Strong investigative and analytical abilities with the capacity to interpret legislation and frameworks.
• Proven stakeholder engagement skills and ability to deliver clear, practical advice.
• Excellent written communication, including report writing.
• Experience working with data and managing competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
