Workplace Coach

About the role

HammondCare, a not-for-profit aged care provider, is looking for a Workplace Coach to report to the Regional Learning Team Leader and join the People and Learning Team. Working with the Residential and Learning Team, the coach coaches and mentors team members in the Horsley residential home so that Specialised Carers can put into practice the HammondCare Principles of Care. This is a permanent part-time role of 3 days per week (22.8 hours) based at Horsley.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Residential team, Educators, Learning team, Hammond Innovations, Quality Governance and Risk and other units to identify learning and development needs.
• Promote and help implement a case management approach by the Care Team.
• Plan training schedules with the Learning Team that meet learner and service needs.
• Deliver learning activities in face-to-face, individual and group training, webinars and workplace assessments.
• Support the full learning pathway for care staff, including the new employee retention program.
• Support staff studying ASQA-accredited Certificate III in Individual Support.

Required profile

• At least 2 years' demonstrated experience as a carer in the Australian aged care sector.
• Demonstrated ability in a practical training, mentoring or coaching role.
• Commitment to HammondCare's Christian mission and to lifelong learning for self and others.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Current Certificate III in Individualised Support preferred, or willingness to undertake it is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and MS Teams.
