Workforce Planning Advisor (12‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Join Qantas as a Workforce Planning Advisor on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, based at our Mascot Campus. You will support Day‑of‑Operations teams by developing and implementing short‑ and medium‑term resource plans that drive labour efficiency across our airport portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Design, maintain and publish fortnightly rosters for assigned airports.
• Manage leave entitlements, plan leave and adapt rosters to evolving business needs.
• Identify trends, propose improvements and ensure optimal implementation of planned rosters.
• Provide guidance and expertise to Day‑of‑Operations planning teams on workforce allocation.
• Collaborate with the Strategic Planning Specialist to maximise labour efficiencies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in workforce planning and rostering practices.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to interpret enterprise agreements.
• Data‑driven mindset with the ability to make commercial recommendations.
• Track record of meeting strict deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including report writing.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Competence with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with Groundstar rostering systems (desirable but not essential).
