WHS Advisor – Safety Compliance for Display Homes & Offices

About the role

The WHS Advisor will join NEX Building Group’s People, Culture and Safety team to manage workplace health and safety compliance for display homes, offices and warehouse facilities across NSW & ACT. Reporting to the National WHS Manager, you will ensure compliance with legislation, support wellness initiatives and conduct regular safety audits.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate WHS compliance records, databases and reports for key stakeholders.
• Conduct compliance audits, first‑aid maintenance, emergency preparedness checks and safety inspections.
• Facilitate WHS Committee functions and support incident investigations.
• Monitor WHS performance against strategic objectives and identify improvement opportunities.
• Oversee testing and tagging of electrical equipment and fire‑prevention programs.

Required profile

• Strong verbal communication skills for clear articulation of compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail, accurate reporting and data entry capabilities.
• Effective planning, time‑management and organisational abilities.
• Ability to adapt to a fast‑paced, changing work agenda and work autonomously.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
