Wellways to Recovery Program Worker (Mat Leave Cover)

About the role

Wellways, a national mental health and disability support organisation, is looking for a dedicated Program Worker to join its Recovery team. This is a part-time Mat leave cover role supporting individuals on their recovery journey until July 2027, paid $46.70 to $50.25 per hour (SCHADS Level 4B) plus leave loading, super and salary packaging.

The Wellways to Recovery program is a community-based support program for people with mental health challenges. It works with individuals and their families to set personal recovery goals and helps them build the knowledge, skills and strategies to improve their health and wellbeing, while also giving information, education, advice and support to family members, friends and wider support networks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist people experiencing severe or persistent mental health issues to progress on their recovery journey by working towards goals that increase their inclusion in the community.
• Engage community members by developing professional and trusting relationships with them and relevant stakeholders.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in a social science or related discipline.
• Prior experience in the mental health industry or in a community-based organisation.
• Current valid driver's licence and the ability to travel for the role.
• Working with Children Check, NDIS Workers Screening Check, right to work in Australia, satisfactory National Police Record Check and NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate.
