Wellbeing Services Team Leader - Berala on the Park

About the role

IRT is investing in its leadership capability and is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Wellbeing Team Leader to lead the design, planning, delivery and assessment of activity and wellbeing programs for residents at the Berala on the Park Residential Care Home. This is a fixed-term position of 12 months, full time, Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and supervise Wellbeing Officers, including reviewing their performance
• Coordinate onsite volunteers
• Liaise with internal shared service teams, external services and community groups
• Respond to employee, resident and client concerns in line with IRT's complaints management policy, including commencing workplace conduct investigations as required
• Take part in accreditation processes, including preparation and site visits
• Ensure the lifestyle program meets compliance standards and aligns with IRT policy
• Take part in the recruitment, selection and orientation of team members in line with IRT's policies and procedures

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Leisure & Health (or equivalent)
• Certificate IV in Leadership & Management (or willingness to obtain it)
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards

Required skills

• Sound verbal, written, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem solving, negotiating and organisational skills
• Ability to plan and prioritise own work and/or the work of others to meet deadlines
