Wayfinding Designer

About the role

This role focuses on the planning, strategy design and design and implementation of wayfinding projects, including creating design reports, screen presentations and in-house publicity for production. The designer assists the Lead Senior Graphic Designer with concept design and layout of graphic material, in liaison with the Project Director, Associate and/or the Lead Senior Graphic Designer.

Key responsibilities

• Attend job briefs with Directors, Associates, Project Architects and the Lead Senior Graphic Designer.
• Support the Lead Senior Graphic Designer and lead creative on jobs assigned.
• Manage the workflow of all jobs, alerting the Lead Senior Graphic Designer to changes in scope or deadlines.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and suppliers as necessary.
• Debrief on jobs as required and identify design and wayfinding issues, offering graphic solutions.
• Produce graphic layouts of wayfinding signage and super graphics.

Required profile

• 2+ years' experience, including on large-scale production jobs.
• Diploma, degree or higher, or equivalent years' experience.
• Ability to maintain high production quality and quality control in print production, typography and proofreading.
• Ability to work under pressure with simultaneous deadlines and handle urgent client requests.
• Leadership aspects expected in interactions with stakeholders, clients and partners.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good production knowledge and ability to take job briefs.
• Artistic or architectural sensibility desirable.
