VP, Head of Technology and Information Security

About the role

The VP, Head of Technology and Information Security will lead DBS Australia’s branch technology function, ensuring stable, secure and resilient services while meeting Group standards and local regulatory obligations. This senior position reports to senior bank leadership and works closely with Group Technology and local stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead branch technology operations, overseeing availability, resilience and service delivery across internal and third‑party providers.
• Own the technology risk and information security framework, including risk identification, control design, monitoring, incident management and escalation.
• Ensure compliance with APRA prudential standards (CPS 230, CPS 234) and maintain audit readiness.
• Manage vendor and third‑party technology risk through due diligence, control assurance and performance monitoring.
• Develop and coach the branch technology team, fostering strong stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• Proven technology leadership experience in financial services or another regulated environment.
• Hands‑on experience leading a small, high‑performing technology team in a business‑facing role.
• Strong understanding of technology risk, information security and operational resilience in a regulated setting.
• Experience working in a matrix organisation with central technology teams, business stakeholders, vendors, auditors and regulators.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and COBIT frameworks.
• Familiarity with APRA standards CPS 230 and CPS 234.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CISA (or equivalent).
• Experience in information security management, vendor risk assessment and control testing.
