Visiting Medical Officer - Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

About the role

Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Visiting Medical Officer in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery to join the team at Concord Repatriation General Hospital. The role provides high-quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in plastics and reconstructive surgery and takes part in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the department and hospital as required. It is a temporary position of up to 6 months.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality diagnostic and consultative services in plastics and reconstructive surgery
• Participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the department and hospital as required
• Ensure a high standard of professional performance and encourage an academic environment supporting education, research and professional development

Required profile

• Current registered medical practitioner registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) with recognised qualifications in plastics and reconstructive surgery and/or other equivalent specialist recognition
• Applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within two months of application may also be considered
