Video Producer

About the role

Opera Australia is seeking an experienced Video Producer to join its Marketing team. The role will create compelling visual content for social media and digital platforms, helping audiences connect with the company’s opera and musical theatre productions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging video content that supports brand awareness, audience engagement and ticket sales.
• Capture and produce a variety of footage, including artist features, rehearsals, performance highlights and behind-the-scenes storytelling.
• Transform creative concepts into high-quality video campaigns for digital, social and marketing channels.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to plan, film, edit and deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Tailor content for different audiences and platforms to maximise impact.
• Explore new formats and trends to drive innovation in digital video content.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience creating content for social media and digital marketing.
• Proven track record producing video campaigns that drive audience engagement and ticket sales.
• Strong visual storytelling ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high production standards.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence directing talent on set.
• Passion for the performing arts; experience in arts, entertainment or cultural organisations is a plus.
