Urban Planner, Environment & Planning

About the role

We are seeking an Urban Planner to join our Environment & Planning group in Brisbane. The role supports the delivery of statutory and strategic planning services across infrastructure sectors such as energy, water, transport and resources. Working with senior planners and multidisciplinary teams, you will help shape project outcomes from early concept through to approvals.

Key responsibilities

• Support project delivery on infrastructure and precinct‑scale planning, regulatory approvals and feasibility studies.
• Prepare planning outputs including research, site and policy analysis, reports and client presentations.
• Interpret planning and environmental legislation, policies and approval pathways, escalating complex issues when needed.
• Collaborate with project managers, technical specialists, clients and stakeholders to provide integrated advice.
• Participate in meetings, consultations and communications to present planning information clearly.
• Contribute to team knowledge sharing, proposals and continuous improvement of planning services.

Required profile

• Developing planning professional with a sound technical foundation.
• Ability to work under guidance while taking responsibility for deliverables.
• Strong research, analytical and communication skills.
• Interest in environmental and infrastructure planning.
