Underwriting Services Apprentice

About the role

We are launching the General Insurance Underwriting Apprenticeship Programme for 2026. You will be supported from day one by experienced Assistant Underwriters, learning the fundamentals of underwriting services and building confidence to support broker partners.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to broker and customer enquiries while keeping day‑to‑day underwriting operations running smoothly.
• Rotate across the wider underwriting team to gain hands‑on exposure to multiple lines of general insurance.
• Develop practical skills in risk assessment, decision‑making and support the underwriting process as a trainee underwriter.

Required profile

• Recent completion of HSC or equivalent studies, or a career change seeker eager to start.
• Strong people skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across the organisation.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, curious attitude towards learning.
