Underground Mine Geologist (8/6 FIFO)

About the role

Liontown Limited (ASX: LTR), an ASX-listed battery mineral company, is recruiting a Mine Geologist for its underground geology team at the Kathleen Valley Lithium Project in Western Australia. The role is full-time and permanent, on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, and sits within a growing team during a critical ramp-up phase. It reports to the Geology Superintendent and is supported by an experienced Senior Mine Geologist.

Key responsibilities

• Uphold and promote strong safety compliance through safe work practices
• Conduct underground face and backs mapping, sampling and mark-ups
• Use geological data to guide mine planning and production
• Support short-term grade control and ore delivery
• Manage ROM and crusher feed plans
• Support stope notes and reconciliations
• Monitor geological data and help interpret orebody trends through core logging
• Contribute to monthly reconciliation and reporting, ensuring data accuracy and QA/QC
• Work with mining and engineering teams to support daily production goals

Required profile

• Degree in Geology or Earth Sciences; experience in underground mining geology (strong graduates open)
• Valid manual driver's licence and ability to work in a remote site environment
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and pass a pre-employment medical

Required skills

• Working knowledge of geological software such as Leapfrog, Datamine or similar
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality
• Good communication, proactive and team-oriented
