Transactional Finance Manager

About the role

The Transactional Finance Manager will own high‑volume AP and AR processes for Australia and New Zealand, acting as the key liaison between internal teams and an external processing provider. This position is central to driving operational excellence and continuous improvement within a leading FMCG organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end AP and AR operations, ensuring timely, accurate processing and compliance with local regulations.
• Develop and implement AP/AR strategy, reporting, performance metrics and improvement initiatives.
• Maintain robust documentation, internal controls and risk mitigation processes.
• Manage the corporate credit‑card program via Concur, including applications, amendments and employee support.
• Approve customer credit limits, monitor aged debt and make stop‑supply decisions within delegated authority.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts, perform monthly variance analysis and support month‑end close activities.
• Serve as the primary contact for the outsourced AP/AR provider, ensuring service‑level compliance.
• Resolve complex AP/AR issues in partnership with finance, sales, supply chain and customers.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading AP & AR functions in a large corporate environment, preferably across Australia and New Zealand.
• Experience managing outsourced providers or shared‑service centres.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence across teams.
• High attention to detail, strong reconciliation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Integrity, accountability and commercial judgement, especially in credit management.
