Training Officer

About the role

Glencore is seeking a site‑based Training Officer for its McArthur River Mine to facilitate and administer the Mining Department training plan. The role involves delivering inductions, managing training activities, and ensuring compliance with the Site Training Needs Analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Mining Department induction and orientation program for new Mining Production personnel.
• Promote and deliver training activities to meet compliance targets for the Site Training Needs Analysis.
• Develop, review, and implement training and assessment material.
• Facilitate Production Mining training forecast meetings and report on adherence to the weekly training plan.
• Provide timely feedback to stakeholders on learner progression.

Required profile

• Cert IV Training & Assessment (TAE40122 preferred).
• Valid Australian driver’s licence.
• 5+ years experience in a similar training role.
• Experience operating CAT Rigid Haul Trucks (minimum).
• Demonstrated experience training with mining equipment simulators.

Required skills

• Cert IV Training & Assessment.
• CAT Rigid Haul Truck operation.
• RIIMPO338E rigid haul truck certification (preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Use of mining equipment simulators for training.
