Training Coordinator – Northern Territory

About the role

The Training Coordinator will act as the primary point of contact for registrars, supervisors and practice teams, ensuring the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) program runs smoothly in the Northern Territory. Reporting to the Operations Team Leader, you will work closely with GP Medical Educators, Program Support Officers and regional and national teams to maintain compliance, quality and service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with registrars, supervisors, practices and internal teams.
• Coordinate registrar placements and training activities in line with program requirements and community needs.
• Monitor training progress, manage data accurately and ensure compliance with policies.
• Lead regional activities such as accreditation site visits, present at educational events and provide training advice.

Required profile

• Strong coordination and planning abilities.
• Proven experience in stakeholder management.
• Clear, confident written and verbal communication.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships across diverse teams.
• Experience in health, education or training coordination settings.
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant area is desirable.
