Training Coordinator – Northern Territory

About the role

The Training Coordinator will act as the primary liaison for registrars, supervisors and practice teams within the Northern Territory, ensuring smooth delivery of the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) programme. Reporting to the Operations Team Leader, you will work closely with GP Medical Educators, Program Support Officers and regional teams to maintain compliance, quality and service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with registrars, supervisors, practices and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate registrar placements and training activities in line with programme requirements and community needs.
• Monitor training progress, manage data accurately and ensure compliance with policies.
• Lead regional activities such as accreditation site visits, presentations at educational events and provision of training advice.
• Collaborate with national teams to support continuous improvement and problem solving.

Required profile

• Excellent coordination and planning abilities.
• Proven experience in stakeholder management.
• Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships across diverse teams.
• Experience in health, education or training coordination settings.
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant area is desirable.
