Training Coordinator

About the role

Thomas Foods International, a family-owned Australian food business supplying premium meat and seafood worldwide, is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Training Coordinator to join its Stawell, Victoria team. The role contributes to developing the workforce while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and sustainability, and involves maintaining training records and coordinating external training and licensing such as Forklift and confined space.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs
• Coordinate new starter inductions and ongoing training for new and existing employees
• Assess training needs across the operations
• Create training materials, manuals and resources that support learning and retention
• Monitor and evaluate training programs and adjust them as needed
• Maintain training records and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
• Work with department managers to identify skill gaps and training opportunities
• Keep up to date on industry trends, regulations and best practices
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and safety

Required profile

• Cert IV in Training and Assessment preferred but not essential
• 3-5 years of experience in the meat industry preferred but not essential
• Proven experience in training and development
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the meat, food or FMCG industry
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
