Training Advisor

About the role

MLG Oz is seeking a full‑time Training Advisor to join its Learning & Development team. The role supports delivery of workplace training, assessment and competency development across mine site operations, focusing on crushing, screening and broader mining activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver face‑to‑face structured training and workplace assessments.
• Provide operational training and coaching to improve employee capability and competency.
• Conduct competency assessments on plant, equipment and operational activities.
• Maintain accurate training and competency records.
• Collaborate with site leadership, operational teams and the L&D team.
• Promote safe work practices and support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Previous FIFO mine site experience (essential).
• Demonstrated training and assessment experience in crushing, screening, mining or civil operations.
• Practical knowledge of mobile and/or fixed plant operations in mining environments.
• Strong understanding of safe operating practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and strong administrative capability.

Required skills

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (desirable).
• Competency assessment techniques.
• Operational knowledge of mobile plant and fixed plant equipment.
