Trainer, Energy & Charging Service, APAC

About the role

As a Technical Trainer on Tesla's APAC Energy & Charging Service team, you will empower Service Technicians and Certified Service Providers to install, maintain, and troubleshoot Tesla Energy products such as Megapack, Powerpack, and Superchargers. You will create and deliver engaging training both onsite at our Melbourne facility and virtually across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Design e‑learning modules, videos, simulations and VR experiences for Megapack, Powerpack and Supercharger technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and service teams to integrate updates, safety protocols and real‑world troubleshooting scenarios.
• Lead hands‑on sessions at the Melbourne Training Facility, covering high‑voltage handling, battery management, power electronics and charging infrastructure.
• Facilitate workshops, webinars and certification assessments for technicians, customers and CSPs.
• Track learner progress, provide feedback, certify completions and evaluate training effectiveness.
• Update curricula based on product changes, regulatory updates and field feedback.
• Stay current on electrical regulations and safety standards across APAC markets.
• Partner with EHS and field leads to ensure compliance and skill development.

Required profile

• Electrician certification or a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with energy storage systems and high‑voltage equipment.
• Strong knowledge of Australian electrical standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for technical adult education.
• Experience servicing Tesla industrial or commercial products.
• Willingness to travel to field sites up to 10‑15% of the time.
