Trainer and Assessor - Pre-Hospital Health Care

About the role

Safety Direct Solutions is seeking an experienced health care professional and qualified Trainer and Assessor to join its Training Services team on a full-time basis, with an immediate start. You will deliver and assess pre-hospital health care training, including the HLT41120 Certificate IV in Health Care, as well as first aid and other related courses, combining classroom learning with realistic practical scenarios. National travel, including interstate travel and overnight stays, is required.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, practical training to participants with varying levels of experience
• Conduct fair and thorough assessments and give constructive feedback
• Create realistic clinical scenarios linking learning to workplace practice
• Support learners through face-to-face training and online learning requirements
• Maintain accurate, timely assessment records in the training and assessment systems
• Prepare and maintain training equipment and ensure safe learning environments
• Contribute to learning resource reviews, assessment validation and continuous improvement
• Maintain clinical currency, vocational competencies and professional development
• Travel nationally to support scheduled courses and client training requirements

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications in paramedicine, pre-hospital health care or a related field, supported by course-relevant competencies
• Demonstrated recent clinical experience in pre-hospital, emergency, ambulance, remote or similar settings
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
• Experience delivering and assessing nationally recognised training, ideally in health care or first aid
• Strong communication skills and ability to give clear, constructive feedback
• Commitment to safe practice, quality training and positive learner outcomes
• Willingness and ability to travel nationally, including overnight stays away from home
