Trailer Assembly Operator (Assembly Fitter)

About the role

Marand, an Australian engineering and manufacturing business part of the ASDAM Group, is looking for Trailer Assembly Operators to join its growing team in Moorabbin. The role involves assembling precision-engineered aerospace equipment in a modern manufacturing environment, working alongside experienced tradespeople on day or afternoon shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Build and assemble precision trailer and aerospace equipment from engineering drawings
• Use hand tools, power tools and precision measuring equipment
• Follow detailed assembly instructions and technical specifications
• Carry out quality inspections and testing so each build meets the highest standards
• Work collaboratively within a skilled production team
• Contribute to projects supporting Australia's defence and aerospace industries

Required profile

• Ideally holds a Mechanical Trade Qualification, Fitter & Turner qualification or similar
• Mechanically minded with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Eager to learn and build a long-term career
• Positive attitude and strong team spirit
• Applicants may be required to hold Australian citizenship and meet ITAR and/or EAR compliance; a police check, defence security clearance and random drug and alcohol screening may also be required
