Traffic Controller / Labourer (TC2 TMI2)

About the role

EIR Labour Hire is hiring workers with TC2 and TMI2 qualifications to combine traffic control with hands-on labouring on ongoing construction, civil and utility projects in the Adelaide City CBD. The role is temporary, with typical hours of 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, and starts as soon as possible; some early morning, afternoon, night and weekend work may be required.

Key responsibilities

• Control traffic flow through and around active worksites
• Set up, monitor and pack down signs, cones, barriers and other traffic control equipment
• Implement traffic management plans within the scope of your qualifications and site requirements
• Communicate with traffic controllers, supervisors and site crews by radio
• Direct pedestrians and vehicles safely around work areas
• Assist with general civil and construction labouring, including site clean-up, moving materials and supporting crews
• Complete site documentation and traffic management records

Required profile

• Current TC2 and TMI2 qualifications
• A valid White Card
• Strong focus on safety and clear communication
• Physical ability to work outdoors, stand for long periods and do manual labour
• Reliability, punctuality and willingness to help with labouring duties
