Trade Counter Assistant - Townsville

About the role

Reece Fire, part of the Reece Group, is hiring a Trade Counter Assistant in Townsville. The role combines customer service, warehouse operations and delivery driving, helping engineers, project managers and other tradespeople get the products they need for fire safety protection. Most of the work is delivering products to customers across the region, then assisting with trade counter sales, stock handling and general branch operations.

Key responsibilities

• Make deliveries to customers using a company vehicle
• Load and unload products safely and efficiently
• Provide customer service and product information
• Provide quotes in person and by phone
• Pick and pack orders and carry out stock control
• Assist with receiving and dispatching goods
• Keep the branch tidy, organised and safe

Required profile

• Clean, valid driver's licence; an MR licence is preferred but not essential, and support is offered to obtain one
• Previous experience in delivery driving, warehousing, retail sales or customer service
• Ability to pick orders, keep stock accurate and give accurate information
• Reliable, safety focused and able to work as part of a team
• Interested in developing a career locally, within the network or at the head office
