Tenure‑Track Engineering Academic Positions for Women

About the role

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney is seeking outstanding women academics for full‑time, tenure‑track positions at Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor levels. These roles combine teaching, research and leadership responsibilities across the Schools of Aerospace, Mechanical & Mechatronic Engineering, Computer Science, and Electrical & Computer Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate curricula.
• Establish an independent research programme and secure external funding.
• Publish high‑quality research in internationally recognised journals.
• Collaborate with industry partners and interdisciplinary research groups.
• Contribute to the strategic direction and governance of the School/Faculty.

Required profile

• PhD in a relevant engineering or computer science discipline (candidates who have submitted their thesis are also considered).
• Demonstrated research excellence appropriate to the appointment level, taking career disruptions into account.
• Ability to teach a range of courses and mentor students.
• Commitment to enhancing diversity and fostering an inclusive academic environment.
