Temporary Teacher – STEAM & PE (Year 1/2)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative teacher to lead STEAM and Physical Education across our Year 1/2 composite classes. Based at Nicolson Avenue Primary School in Whyalla, you will create dynamic, hands‑on learning experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess STEAM curriculum for Year 1/2 students.
• Design and teach engaging Physical Education lessons.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to integrate cross‑curricular projects.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to families.

Required profile

• Passion for primary education and STEAM/PE integration.
• Experience teaching early primary (Year 1/2) students.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work a 0.6 FTE (or negotiated) schedule.

• Fixed‑term contract (20 July 2026 – 11 December 2026) at 0.6 FTE.
• Salary range $84,971 – $123,236 per annum (pro‑rated).
